Project Manager

Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Project Manager to work with a key client based in Sheffield.

**Please note this role falls INSIDE IR35 and requires 3 Days onsite in Sheffield weekly**

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead the planning, mobilisation, execution, and closure of projects across business and technology functions.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource forecasts.
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions are implemented.
  • Drive delivery governance and ensure compliance with project management standards and controls.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across multiple levels, including senior business and change leaders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party suppliers where applicable.
  • Monitor and report project progress, financial performance, and delivery outcomes.
  • Support business readiness activities to facilitate successful implementation and adoption.
  • Ensure benefits are clearly defined, tracked, and realised post-implementation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven project delivery experience within financial services or a complex regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and governance processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve delivery challenges and manage competing priorities.
  • Relevant project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications) desirable.
