Project Manager

Summary: The Project Manager role in Sheffield involves overseeing financial and outcome accountability for projects, reporting to a Portfolio Manager within the CTO. The position requires building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment with group strategy. The role encompasses end-to-end project execution, financial analysis, and adherence to financial processes, while also facilitating the transition of projects into Business-as-Usual operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of programme/project financial and outcome accountability.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders within IT and Global Businesses.
• Ensure project alignment with wider change portfolio and group strategy.
• Lead and direct multidisciplinary teams across global businesses and functions.
• Manage all aspects of project execution, including planning, governance, and change management.
• Conduct financial analysis and contextualize data into business activities.
• Ensure adherence to financial processes and procedures at project level.
• Identify and escalate budgetary risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Facilitate effective handover of projects into Business-as-Usual operations.
• Deploy Business Transformation Frameworks and instill good project disciplines.

Key Skills:

• 15+ years of relevant IT experience, with 5+ years in project and programme management.
• Excellent understanding of Programme and Project Management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
• Ability to influence in a matrix-oriented environment.
• Proven experience in interactions with Senior Executives.
• Outstanding relationship management and collaboration skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to implement large-scale organizational change programmes.
