Summary: The Project Manager role focuses on supporting a significant transformation programme within the utilities sector, specifically in water. The position requires collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time and to a high standard. The successful candidate will manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement in a complex environment. This is a contract position with a strong likelihood of extensions, based in Reading with hybrid working arrangements.

- Excellent project governance, planning, and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility in fast-paced projects.
- Experience in consultancy or client-facing environments is advantageous.
- Relevant project management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent) are desirable.

We're looking for experienced Project Managers to join one of the UK's largest organisations in the utilities sector to support a huge transformation programme and provide immediate delivery support across multiple workstreams. This is an opportunity to join a high-profile transformation at a pivotal stage, working alongside senior stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. You'll play a key role in this programme, taking ownership of key project deliverables and ensuring workstreams are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard. You'll be working across business and technology teams, managing dependencies, risks, governance, and stakeholder engagement in a complex enterprise environment.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering complex projects as a Project Manager within the utilities sector, ideally with strong water industry experience.
- Experience working on large digital transformation or technology-enabled change programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent project governance, planning, and reporting capabilities.
- Comfortable joining projects at pace and quickly establishing credibility.

Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 3-month contract with strong likelihood of rolling extensions
Hybrid working – based in Reading, with up to 3 days per week on-site
