Project Manager – Utilities / Water Sector - £500 pd Inside IR35

We're looking for experienced Project Managers to join one of the UK's largest organisations in the utilities sector to support a huge transformation programme and provide immediate delivery support across multiple workstreams. This is an opportunity to join a high-profile transformation at a pivotal stage, working alongside senior stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. You'll play a key role in this programme, taking ownership of key project deliverables and ensuring workstreams are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard. You'll be working across business and technology teams, managing dependencies, risks, governance, and stakeholder engagement in a complex enterprise environment.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects as a Project Manager within the utilities sector, ideally with strong water industry experience.
  • Experience working on large digital transformation or technology-enabled change programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent project governance, planning, and reporting capabilities.
  • Comfortable joining projects at pace and quickly establishing credibility.
  • Experience working within consultancy or client-facing environments is advantageous.
  • Relevant project management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent) are desirable.

Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)

Duration: Initial 3-month contract with strong likelihood of rolling extensions

Hybrid working – based in Reading, with up to 3 days per week on-site
