Summary: The role of Project Manager involves leading a Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and NIS Regulations improvement programme to enhance cyber resilience and ensure regulatory compliance within complex IT/OT environments. The position requires a seasoned professional who can coordinate assessments, develop remediation roadmaps, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders. The contract is hybrid and based in Preston, with a daily rate of £500.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate CAF gap assessments across IT, OT and supporting business processes.
  • Oversee the evaluation of control maturity, reviewing evidence, policies, architectures and operational practices.
  • Develop and own a prioritised remediation roadmap aligned to CAF expectations, NIS Regulations and risk appetite.
  • Work with technical teams to define practical remediation actions, timelines, dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Ensure remediation plans integrate with existing change, asset management and risk governance processes.
  • Provide clear reporting and expert guidance to senior stakeholders, supporting audit and regulatory readiness.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering cyber security, risk, or regulatory change programmes.
  • Deep understanding of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), NCSC guidance and NIS Regulations.
  • Knowledge of IT and OT security, and experience with cyber maturity assessments or audits.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps, assess risk impact and prioritise remediation.
  • Excellent documentation and evidence-review skills, including mapping to CAF contributing outcomes.
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to translate technical findings into clear business-level insights.

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and NIS Regulations improvement programme, driving cyber resilience and regulatory compliance across complex IT/OT environments.

Your responsibilities as the Project Manager

  • Lead and coordinate CAF gap assessments across IT, OT and supporting business processes.
