Summary: The Project Manager at the NHS Counter Fraud Authority will lead and manage various projects aimed at preventing and detecting economic crime within the NHS. This role requires a methodical approach to documentation and a flexible mindset to adapt to changing circumstances while engaging stakeholders effectively. The position involves collaborating with operational teams and utilizing data science capabilities to enhance counter-fraud efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables align with the NHS CFA strategy and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver assigned projects, ensuring lifecycle documentation and management.
  • Collaborate with operational and support teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor and review project performance, escalating risks and issues as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed analyses of complex information impacting project success.
  • Communicate project performance through formal presentations and reports.
  • Organize project meetings, documenting agendas, minutes, and actions.
  • Lead a culture of consistent project management across the organization.
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation for project success.

Key Skills:

  • Project management experience in complex organizations, preferably within the NHS.
  • Expertise in project planning, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong financial management and monitoring skills related to projects.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information.
  • Proficiency in business software packages, including MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and critical reasoning abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying objectives and timelines.
