Summary: The role of Project Manager involves leading the delivery of a large-scale Solar PV project integrated with Battery Energy Storage (BESS) in Northwest England. The successful candidate will manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective stakeholder communication. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the rapidly growing renewable energy sector in the UK. The contract is for 12 months with a likelihood of extension and is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of project delivery from early-stage development through to completion.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and reporting using recognised PM methodologies.
- Coordinate planning, environmental, and permitting activities with consultants and authorities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including landowners, grid operators, and contractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE and CDM regulations.
- Drive performance, safety, and quality standards across all project phases.

- Proven experience managing solar, wind, or BESS projects in the UK.

About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale Solar PV project co-located with Battery Energy Storage (BESS) . The successful candidate will oversee the project lifecycle from planning and permitting through to construction, commissioning, and handover — ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeframes. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, commercially aware project professional to play a key role in one of the UK’s fastest-growing renewable energy sectors.
