Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive migration program, ensuring it is delivered on time and within budget while adhering to governance and compliance standards. This role involves coordinating multiple technical streams, managing stakeholder communication, and leading the planning and execution of migration activities. The Project Manager will also be tasked with risk mitigation and reporting to support a secure and scalable platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration program from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, budgets, risk registers, and dependency maps.
  • Coordinate technical streams to ensure integrated designs and successful migration outcomes.
  • Oversee production of high-quality documentation, including recovery runbooks and architectural designs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all program stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and reporting.
  • Liaise with business and technical teams to capture requirements and align with the client’s governance and compliance standards.
  • Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and executive reporting on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Manage and align activities across specialized roles: OpenShift Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, Automation Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Administrators.
  • Ensure collaboration between streams to support automation, integration, and platform stability during migration.
  • Manage third-party vendors and ensure timely delivery of contracted services.
  • Track program costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Drive proactive risk identification, mitigation strategies, and issue resolution across all streams.
  • Maintain compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards throughout the migration program.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure migration programs within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of systems architecture, operational processes, and OpenShift platform fundamentals.
  • Excellent organizational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Role purpose / summary

This role coordinates multiple technical streams; including OpenShift, Automation, Infrastructure, and DevOps while managing stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and reporting.
