Summary: The role of Guidewire Cloud Migration IT Project Manager involves leading a critical project to migrate Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter from on-premise to a cloud environment. The position requires a hands-on, delivery-focused Project Manager with extensive experience in Guidewire, cloud migration, and commercial insurance. The successful candidate will manage project plans, stakeholder communications, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This is a contract role based in London for a duration of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle migration of Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter from on-premise to cloud
- Own project plans, scope, milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies
- Ensure delivery aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Manage and hold implementation vendors accountable for performance
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project communications
- Engage and manage senior stakeholders across IT, business, and vendors
- Provide clear, regular updates on progress, risks, and issues to executive leadership
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
- Proactively manage issues, dependencies, and change impacts
- Ensure strong governance, documentation, and reporting throughout
- Work closely with architects and technical teams on cloud design and implementation
- Ensure data integrity, security, interoperability, and performance
- Oversee testing, validation, and readiness of migrated systems
- Control project financials and resource allocation
- Balance priorities across multiple workstreams
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of IT Project Management experience, including large-scale integration or transformation programmes
- Proven hands-on experience delivering Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter implementations
- Strong experience with cloud migration strategies, data security, and performance optimisation
- Commercial Insurance experience (minimum 3 years)
- Track record of delivering complex enterprise IT programmes across multiple teams or regions
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, PMLC, and delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Experience using project & portfolio management tools (e.g. MS Project)
- Excellent vendor, stakeholder, and matrix-management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams

The Role As Guidewire Cloud Migration IT Project Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of planning, delivery, and governance across both PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter cloud migrations. You’ll work closely with senior business stakeholders, IT leadership, and third-party implementation partners to ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and aligned to business and regulatory objectives.
