Detailed Description From Employer:

Job Title: Project Manager - Main Site Infrastructure Development (Ancillary Works)
Location: Suffolk

Are you ready to help deliver one of the most nationally significant infrastructure projects in the UK? This role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of an ambitious energy development programme, responsible for enabling the infrastructure that supports the wider construction effort.
As a Project Manager in the Main Site Infrastructure Development (Ancillary Works) team, you'll oversee the delivery of essential supporting infrastructure-including roads, utilities, buildings, and site access systems-that enable the main construction works to proceed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is a pivotal delivery role within a collaborative and forward-thinking team that prides itself on accountability, innovation, and a "can-do" culture. Safety and coordination are our highest priorities, and we're looking for project managers who share those values.

About the Role
Reporting to the Area Lead for Ancillary Works, you'll manage the end-to-end life cycle of multiple infrastructure packages. This includes engineering, procurement, contractor mobilisation, construction oversight, and commissioning. You will also lead the integration of these works with wider site activities and ensure full compliance with relevant permits and consents.
You will work closely with internal delivery and Matrix teams-ranging from commercial and H&S to environment and construction management-as well as external suppliers, stakeholders, and local communities.

Scope of Works Includes

  • Roads and highways infrastructure
  • Drainage and water systems (storm, potable, industrial, foul)
  • Electrical, telecoms, and communications systems
  • Security fencing and access control
  • Operational and welfare buildings
  • Early enabling works including ecology and archaeology clearance
Key Deliverables
In your first year, your focus will be on driving forward critical enabling infrastructure to support the site's wider development. This includes completing procurement processes, mobilising contractors, and initiating construction in line with the project's delivery schedule.
Your leadership will be essential in ensuring safety remains paramount, with zero lost-time incidents as a key target. You will also ensure that all works are executed in full compliance with DCO Management Plans, and maintain momentum through strict adherence to programme timelines and milestones.
Success in this role will depend on your ability to coordinate across multiple teams, manage complex interfaces, and maintain transparency with stakeholders-all while ensuring progress remains on track and aligned with project goals.
