Summary: The Senior Project Manager at SII Group will lead a project team focused on outsourcing and offshoring opportunities within the Naval Business Sector, primarily concentrating on engineering functions. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills to ensure successful delivery and stakeholder engagement while managing remote teams. The individual will be responsible for defining execution strategies, overseeing vendor selection, and ensuring compliance with corporate processes. Success will be measured by securing at least 50 full-time roles outside the naval sector by the end of 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project teams, motivating and supporting individuals within the Product/Project team.
- Ensure successful delivery by overseeing all aspects of project management.
- Foster a culture of accountability and proactive risk and opportunity management.
- Build trust and confidence with stakeholders through open dialogue and collaboration with adjacent functions.
- Define execution strategies and create structured schedule baselines for work packages.
- Maintain robust baselines throughout the project lifecycle and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery, Compliance on Delivery, and Project Efficiency.
- Deploy effective Project Management Office (PMO) practices.
- Represent the project in governance forums, including lifecycle gates and periodic reviews.
- Drive quality, cost, and delivery performance across contributing functions.
- Manage change effectively, ensuring project integrity and alignment with bid governance.
- Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects and contribute insights for broader business improvement.
- Ensure compliance with corporate processes and best practices.
Key Skills:
- Proven track record of delivering successful outsourcing and offshoring projects in a relevant industry.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary and remote teams.
- Strong background in customer and supplier relationship management.
- Expertise in structuring and planning complex projects with best practice project controls.
- Strong financial and contractual project management skills.
- Experience working across functional boundaries to align objectives and secure support.

- Background in bid and capture management (desirable).
- Experience leading diverse project types (Design & Manufacture, Service & Support, Transformation, etc.) (desirable).
- Industry-relevant product knowledge (desirable).
- Membership in the Association for Project Management (APM) or equivalent PMQ and/or IPMA Level B certification (desirable).
