DIGITAL PROJECT MANAGER - INITIAL 6 MONTHS - INSIDE IR35
One of Loriens Edinburgh based Public Sector Clients are looking for a highly experienced Digital Project Manager to join there team on an initial 6 month contract.
This contract will require the successful candidates to be in office in Edinburgh or Inverness.
Essential skills
- A strong track record (minimum five years) of managing and delivering medium and high-risk digital or technology projects at pace, with an ability to adapt to inevitable change.
- Expert knowledge of the various project management and project delivery core processes and disciplines, using the right tools/approach at the right time in a proportionate and pragmatic manner.
- Expert working knowledge of waterfall, agile and hybrid project lifecycles including how to determine the most appropriate approach based on the situation, and how to effectively use each approach.
- Proficient team player in a multidisciplinary, self-managing team environment.
- Proficient in the use of project management tools and business tools (such as Microsoft applications).
- Competent in ensuring data of sufficient quality is appropriately used through analysis and evaluation to inform decisions.
- A recognised Project or Programme Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ/PPQ, MSP).
Desirable skills
- Experience of working in a land-based environment or an interest in environmental matters.
- Experience of eliciting requirements from system or business users.
- Working knowledge of public sector digital assurance regimes (e.g., SG Technology Assurance Framework, Gateway Reviews).
- Understanding of service design, customer-centric design and value stream modelling concepts.
- Experience of contributing to, refining and maintaining the different perspectives of a Blueprint or Target Operating Model (TOM).
- Understanding of public sector procurement and acquisition, including contract and supplier management, and working with strategic delivery partners.
