Summary: Westminster Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an initial temporary contract of 3-6 months, with potential for extension or a permanent position. The role is critical for maintaining momentum in housing capital projects during a period of restructuring. The successful candidate will oversee project delivery, contract management, and support the integration of new team members. This position is hybrid based in SW1E6QP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver housing construction and refurbishment projects within the Major Works programme.
  • Provide strong contract management and commercial oversight to ensure value for money.
  • Oversee project budgets, programmes, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive performance.
  • Provide continuity and stability during a period of organisational change.
  • Support the integration and development of new team members once restructuring is complete.

I am currently representing Westminster Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Project Manager this role will be: Hybrid SW1E6QP

The right candidate will:

Westminster City Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide interim cover within our Major Works team. This role is critical in maintaining momentum across our housing capital projects while the service undergoes restructuring. You will ensure continuity, support service improvement, and help embed new team members as they join.

  • Deliver housing construction and refurbishment projects within the Major Works programme.
  • Provide strong contract management and commercial oversight to ensure value for money.
  • Oversee project budgets, programmes, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive performance.
  • Provide continuity and stability during a period of organisational change.
  • Support the integration and development of new team members once restructuring is complete.
