Summary: The role of Project Manager involves overseeing heavy civil engineering projects, particularly in highways and earthworks, for a regional contractor. The Project Manager will report to the Contracts Manager, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while liaising with clients and managing project designs. This position requires a strong background in civil engineering and effective communication skills. The role is classified as outside IR35, offering a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report into the Contracts Manager, providing updates on programme, budgetary, and design issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry health & safety legislation and standards.
- Liaise regularly with the client during project meetings to address concerns.
- Prepare, check, and implement designs on site according to relevant drawings and specifications.
Key Skills:
- Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certificates.
- Experience managing highways and earthworks projects.
- Strong understanding of construction health & safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills.
- HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering.
