Project Manager

Summary: The role of Project Manager involves leading a team in a Datacentre Exit and Cloud Migration project for a client in the Defence & Security sector. The position requires managing the migration of systems and applications to Azure, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and providing expert advice throughout the process. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and application owners to facilitate the transition effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supporting a team in the discovery and assessment of workloads using a 7R's approach at a fast pace
• Conducting and leading meetings with business application owners and stakeholders
• Managing the migration of systems and applications from on-premise environments to Azure Cloud
• Implementing and executing treatment plans for end of life workloads
• Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the project's timelines and deadlines
• Providing expert advice and solutions throughout the data migration process
• Maintaining strong communication channels within the squad and with external stakeholders

Key Skills:

• Experience of being part of a Datacentre Exit & Obsolescence Programme
• Experience of leading teams in cloud migration projects with a focus on Azure
• Ability to work under significant pace and pressure to meet project deadlines
• Excellent project management skills and strong experience in handling DC exit and obsolescence programmes
• Proficiency in cloud migration from on-premise environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
