Summary: The role of Project Manager at Legal & General involves leading impactful business and technology change projects within the Group HR team on a 12-month secondment. The successful candidate will develop and implement project management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of key projects. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a strong focus on quality and alignment with business objectives. Candidates should have a proven track record in project management and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the end-to-end delivery of all programmes and projects in the Group HR portfolio by developing and applying project management methodologies
- Setting up projects, workstreams, and project phases to succeed in terms of scope, design, operating models, resourcing, project and roadmap planning, engagement models, and RAID identification and mitigation
- Reviewing key project deliverables to ensure quality, fit for purpose, and alignment to strategy, business case, and benefits delivery
- Preparing, agreeing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, and supporting annual and other budgeting processes as required
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, change, and IT professionals across Group HR to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high quality
- Applying and developing relevant methodologies to understand and improve project management processes in Group HR
- Managing internal business SMEs, and permanent and contract project teams in a matrix environment
- Ensuring all activities consider treating customers fairly
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile, and other formal Project & Programme Management qualifications
- Understanding of Financial Services and/or HR
- Understanding of IT configurations and the introduction of technologies into the business world
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to board level
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess service delivery, data, and change management results
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
