Summary: The Project Manager will lead the delivery of specific sections within the HS2 programme, ensuring that projects meet time, cost, quality, and safety targets. This role involves managing project teams and subcontractors, monitoring progress, and driving innovation throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will also work closely with commercial and planning teams to maintain accurate forecasting and change control. A strong emphasis on health, safety, and environmental culture is expected on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of a defined section or package of works within the HS2 programme
- Ensure works are delivered to time, cost, quality, and safety targets
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholder interfaces
- Monitor and report on programme progress, risks, and mitigations
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle
- Champion a positive health, safety, and environmental culture on-site
- Work closely with commercial and planning teams to ensure accurate forecasting and change control
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on major civil engineering or infrastructure schemes
- Prior involvement in NEC contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management
- CSCS, SMSTS, and a full UK driving licence
