Summary: The Project Manager role involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of high-profile technology initiatives within a leading law firm's Business Services IT function. The position requires managing multiple software and systems projects while engaging with stakeholders and vendors. The contract is for an initial duration of 12 months, with a daily rate of £550-600, classified as inside IR35. The role is based in Birmingham, Cardiff, or London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery across the full project lifecycle (design, build, test, deployment and handover)
  • Lead multiple concurrent software and systems projects across business functions
  • Engage and manage stakeholders, internal teams, and third-party vendors
  • Own project plans, RAID logs, timelines, budgets, and reporting
  • Ensure effective communication of technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Oversee supplier onboarding and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering software implementation, upgrade, or transformation projects
  • Strong background across application delivery and SDLC change
  • Experience working within professional services environments (e.g. legal, financial services, insurance or accountancy)
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and stakeholders in complex environments
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Prince2, APM or equivalent certification

We are currently partnered with a leading law firm to recruit for a Project Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Business Services IT function, delivering a portfolio of high-profile technology initiatives that drive operational excellence across the organisation.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end delivery across the full project lifecycle (design, build, test, deployment and handover)
  • Lead multiple concurrent software and systems projects across business functions
  • Engage and manage stakeholders, internal teams, and third-party vendors
  • Own project plans, RAID logs, timelines, budgets, and reporting
  • Ensure effective communication of technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Time recording systems
  • SAP (S4 HANA, SuccessFactors, rewards & benefits)
