You will be working for an organisation based in Birmingham on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week on-site. This is a 4-month contract with a possible extension.
Your new role
My clients are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can come in and hit the ground running. You will be managing 5 projects. Some of the projects will include a refresh software programme and a CRM project.
You will ideally be someone who has dealt with Digital and Data Projects previously, end to end.
Role Purpose
The Digital and Data Project Manager is a key role in ensuring business outcomes are delivered.
The post ensures implementation of digital solutions within a cost-effective and timely manner as set out in each business case, working across our customers (both internal & external) and with both internal and external partners to concurrently deliver a range of complex technical projects within a matrix management model.
The position plays a key role in delivering projects, ensuring that WMCA continually develops and maintains a strong relationship between the Digital and Data Team and the wider organisation, engaging with stakeholders to envisage, document and deliver enhanced and new digital solutions, influencing both technical and business change.
The post will work closely with technical teams on major projects and will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance delivery of an ambitious and challenging change agenda.
It will provide an active internal consultancy in project management, delivering joined-up digital enhancements through a blend of solutions.
Responsibilities
Managing projects through their lifecycle from initial ideation & requirements gathering, through solution design & procurement to implementation and realisation of the benefits of the new solution(s), ensuring appropriate use of control documentation.
Working across the Digital and Data team to ensure schedules of work are optimised and delivered on time, to budget and within quality and scope constraints.
Manage communications on project-related matters to various stakeholders and at varied levels throughout the organisation.
Working with stakeholders to develop and agree projects briefs and PIDs, including plans.
Establishing, monitoring and managing risks and issues (including escalation) for all project work, including the management of contingency.
Providing detailed reports of project progression with respect to time, cost & quality, summarised to different levels for a variety of stakeholders.
Maintaining knowledge of the latest project management skills, tools, and ways of working.
Identifying emerging trends in project management and their opportunities and potential impact on WMCA.
Working with project stakeholders to investigate & act on feedback relating to identified services, functions or products throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensuring systems are adequately tested and signed off by customers prior to implementation and providing assurance for benefit and value realisation post-implementation.
Supporting Digital & Data s Senior Programme Manager and working with other members of the organisation to deliver a customer centric service.
