Summary: The Project Manager role involves acting as the first line of defense representative for the Preventative Control Inventory build-out within Global Markets. Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with trading applications, managing the delivery of preventative controls, and defining business requirements to meet regulatory commitments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the 1LOD representative for the Preventative Control Inventory build out.
  • Work with the Product CAO teams to review and challenge the structure and conformance of trading applications.
  • Help formalise the golden source for controls inventory.
  • Risk assess front office activities and establish compliance with relevant Asset Classes.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of preventative controls, including preparation of Business Requirements Documents.
  • Define business requirements for proposed controls to meet regulatory commitments.
  • Work with Audit and other Control groups to investigate control failures.
  • Contribute to project management activities governing controls implementation.

Key Skills:

  • Front to Back asset class product knowledge.
  • Relevant industry experience in Markets or ICG in-business management / FO control function.
  • Strong working knowledge of front to back order management and trade booking flows.
  • Experience in controls related change and technology implementation.
  • Subject matter expertise in Markets traded products and control principles.
  • Proven track record in collaboration across different businesses and regions.
  • Excellent communication skills up to senior level.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as the 1LOD representative for the Preventative Control Inventory build out. This would involve working with any of the Asset Classes within Global Markets.
  • Working with the Product CAO teams to review and challenge the overall structure and conformance of the in scope trading applications vis-a-vis Global Markets specific policies and standards.
  • Help formalise the golden source for controls inventory
  • Risk assess front office activities that meet the manual entry application definition/ criteria as set out within the Manual Entry Standard and establish degree of compliance with the relevant Asset Classes through data collation via the “Manual Entry Standard” questionnaire
  • Help manage the end to end delivery of preventative controls, including preparation of Business Requirements Documents, performing review against functional specifications, and overseeing user acceptance testing
  • Define business requirements for proposed controls in order to meet the regulatory commitments and business objectives
  • Work with Audit and other Control groups to investigate control failures and drive forward control enhancement initiatives
  • Contribute to project management activities governing controls implementation, including reporting on Project Status on a weekly and ad hoc basis to senior management

Key Skills Required

  • Front to Back asset class product knowledge, at a working level garnered from working directly on the desk on projects or 1LOD function
  • Relevant industry experience in: Markets or ICG in-business management / FO control function, technology (BA/PM) or other relevant change functions
  • Strong working knowledge of front to back order management and trade booking flows, specifically around trade booking and/ or order submission
  • Experience in working on controls related change, working with technology, including writing detailed business requirements and overseeing technology implementation
  • Subject matter expertise in Markets traded products and related control principles
  • Proven track record in collaboration across different businesses, regions and/or support functions
  • Excellent communication skills up to senior level
