Summary: Airswift is seeking a Capital Project Manager to oversee refinery operations in Wyoming, focusing on the development and execution of capital projects. The role emphasizes safety, cost efficiency, and adherence to schedules while managing integrated project teams. The manager will also ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain project controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of capital projects from FEL 2 through MOC closure
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Build and manage integrated project teams to achieve defined business objectives
- Participate in capital project and site team meetings as required
- Champion a strong safety culture and lead by example
- Respond effectively to incidents and near misses
- Ensure compliance with corporate and site MOC requirements
- Track and complete all assigned CAPA actions
- Participate in refinery safety audit programs
- Implement engineering practices (EPs) in project design and execution
- Control scope, cost, and schedule through structured project processes
- Maintain cost tracking tools and provide regular reporting updates
- Ensure all projects reach IFC (Issued for Construction) status prior to field execution
- Conduct project lookbacks and share lessons learned
- Coordinate with turnaround integration plans and site teams
- Support SECORMA reviews to ensure projects meet refinery expectations
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Lead competitive bidding for project execution scopes
- Minimize use of bid waivers
- Ensure delivery against cost, schedule, and quality targets
- Communicate project status regularly with site leadership
- Incorporate refinery feedback into project design and execution
- Maintain accurate and timely project reporting and documentation
Key Skills:
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
- 5–10 years of experience in a refinery or industrial processing environment
- Strong experience in capital project execution, cost control, and scheduling
- Familiarity with refinery turnaround processes and project lifecycle management
