Our Leading banking client is currently looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Project Manager with a deep understanding of IBM Z core technologies to join the business on an initial 6-month contract with the view to extend.
The successful applicant will have –
The successful applicant will function as the Technical Project Manager for IBM Z Core Technology in the UK and carry out the following key activities:
- Coordinate with our product teams and bring relevant stakeholders (e.g., application teams) together to facilitate the desired programme outcomes collaboratively
- Provide a holistic view of ongoing programmes running simultaneously and report their progress regularly to relevant stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers from Enterprise Infrastructure, CEP IBM Z Strategy and Planning and relevant applications)
- Organise technical workshops and/or sessions for product teams and relevant stakeholders (e.g., application teams) to understand requirements, propose solutions and agree scope of delivery, with proper documentation
The successful applicant should:
- possess broad technical knowledge on mainframe infrastructure technologies for both hardware and software
- possess broad project management skills
- possess good communication skills, interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with products teams and project management teams in different functions around the globe
- be able to build and maintain good relationships with all relevant stakeholders
Preference will be given to the applicant with:
- practical working experience in IBM Z technologies covering both hardware and software
- practical working experience in leading and managing mainframe infrastructure projects
