Summary: The Project Manager role involves overseeing the pre-construction phase of healthcare projects valued up to £20m across the North of England. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
- Create and oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial control.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and promptly resolve any arising issues.
- Oversee contract negotiations and management with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, quickly resolving any conflicts or issues.
- Conduct construction cost analysis and identify areas for cost optimization.
- Guide, motivate, and supervise project teams, assigning tasks based on individual skills and expertise.
- Organise regular meetings and manage communication to promote transparency and collaboration.
- Manage any changes to the project scope, timeline, or budget, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
- Develop and manage the project budget, including estimating costs and tracking expenses.
- Select and manage subcontractors to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
- Develop a risk management plan and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses in a timely manner.
Key Skills:
- Professional qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid (desirable).
- At least 5 years of experience in project management within the healthcare sector.
- Excellent leadership abilities and effective time management skills.
- Quality and risk management expertise.
- Strong negotiation capabilities and knowledge of construction laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with healthcare-related technology and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Proficient in project management software and industry-specific tools.
