  • Produce and maintain core project documentation, including business cases, risk registers, programmes, and financial tracking.
  • Liaise with internal departments, elected members, external funders, and the public to ensure effective project communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee procurement, tender evaluation, contract management (NEC), and project reporting.
  • You must have Highways experience to be considered for this position.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Hampshire for an experienced Project Manager to join their Infrastructure Section on a contract basis.
This team is part of the Council's Economy, Transport and Planning Directorate and is responsible for delivering civil engineering schemes that support the city's regeneration and growth. Projects span coastal and highway assets, highways and urban design, and general infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the delivery of medium-scale civil engineering projects (typically up to £500k in value) from inception through to completion.
Manage internal staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure delivery within time and budget constraints.
Produce and maintain core project documentation, including business cases, risk registers, programmes, and financial tracking.
