Project Manager, Grid Connection Utility Scale Solar & BESS Contract or Permanent Opportunity Commencement: ASAP
Our client is a global professional services consultancy delivering engineering and environmental solutions for major infrastructure projects worldwide. Working across both public and private sectors, they support the delivery of sustainable, community-focused developments across the energy and infrastructure landscape. They are currently leading the delivery of a utility-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) project in the UK which is now well progressed through construction. Due to the complexity of the final delivery stages and the need to satisfy ongoing National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) requirements, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to provide additional specialist support. This is a high-impact opportunity for an individual with demonstrable experience delivering utility-scale energy infrastructure projects through construction, energisation and grid compliance phases.
The Role
You will support the project team in navigating the final stages of delivery, with a particular focus on coordination, stakeholder management, and ensuring compliance with NGET processes and requirements. The role is expected to begin as soon as possible. Whilst there is a preference for an experienced contractor seeking a part-time assignment initially (approximately 2-3 days per week, with potential to increase as the project progresses), our client is also open to considering a permanent full-time appointment for the right individual.

Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a globally recognised consultancy on a strategically important renewable energy project at a critical delivery stage. The role offers flexibility around contract structure and working pattern, making it well suited to experienced project professionals seeking either a part-time consultancy assignment or a longer-term permanent opportunity.
