Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multi-disciplinary projects in EPCM/EPC environments.
  • Develop large-scale project programmes.
  • Oversee construction activities across various disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Utilize practical knowledge in detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Apply understanding of standard forms of contract, particularly NEC3/4.
  • Lead projects effectively, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Experience in regulated Critical National Infrastructure construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction activities and project integration.
  • Leadership experience in managing successful projects.
  • BSc/BEng/MSc in relevant Engineering discipline (preferred).
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (preferred).
  • APM certification (preferred).

I am currently working with a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the nuclear, oil & gas, renewables and many more industries. With a global workforce focused on enhancing efficiency and implementing critical technology into these sites. My client is highly established business building with some massive projects going on in the Gas industry in particular currently, they are looking for Project Managers with a strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, good experience in highly regulated Critical National Infrastructure construction projects to join them in an outside IR35 contract position.

Key Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager, in multi-disciplinary projects, in an EPCM / EPC companies
  • Experience developing large scale project programmes
  • Good knowledge of construction activities across all disciplines and how these integrate into successful project delivery
  • Sound practical knowledge and experience of: detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning
  • Experience and good understanding standard forms of contract, in particular NEC3/4
  • Strong leadership experience and the ability to lead successful projects

Nice to have:

  • BSc / BEng / MSc in relevant Engineering discipline
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
  • APM certified
