Summary: The Project Manager - Fire and Building Safety will oversee multi-million pound remediation projects focused on fire and building safety for a leading housing provider in Yorkshire. This role involves managing all project activities, including design, procurement, and onsite delivery, while ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act and associated regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate with consultants and manage budgets effectively to meet strategic asset management goals. This position is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all project management activities for High-Rise Building Safety Remediation works projects.
  • Collaborate with designated consultants to oversee design, procurement, and onsite delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and responsibilities set by the Building Safety Regulator.
  • Manage Asset Investment works projects aligned with High Rise Building Safety Remediation.
  • Conduct financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Oversee procurement, tendering, and performance monitoring using Schedule of Rates.
  • Manage contract-related activities including H&S, RAMS, and KPI performance.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus throughout project delivery.
  • Utilize IT skills for operational software and MS Office applications.

Key Skills:

  • HNC / Degree / Diploma in construction or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of onsite experience managing complex investment works, including fire safety projects.
  • Experience in surveying, building diagnostics, and residential maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge of The Building Safety Act and planning Gateway Process.
  • Strong financial management skills related to budgeting and reporting.
  • Experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business use.
