Summary: The role of Project Manager for Finance and Royalties at BMG involves leading a strategic integration project focused on royalties and finance processes within the music industry. The successful candidate will manage the UK Pilot project, ensuring timely delivery and effective collaboration across multiple teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the project, managing external consultants and outlining project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Lead the project team, assign tasks, and foster collaboration while maintaining communication with global teams, IT, and the royalty department.
  • Understand and address accounting issues related to royalties in SAP and coordinate the redesign of the month close process.
  • Manage end-to-end testing of key systems and processes, ensuring alignment with project strategy.
  • Develop and deliver training on new systems and protocols for project Go Live, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and blockers, implementing strategies to mitigate them and ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Leader or similar role in project management.
  • Qualified Accountant with experience in Music Finance and Royalties at a senior level.
  • Understanding of Recording and Publishing contracts and music royalty systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities with proficiency in project management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset focused on identifying risks and devising actionable solutions.
  • Competence in coordinating cross-functional teams efficiently; SAP experience is advantageous but not essential.
