Summary: The Project Manager for EHV Power Networks will oversee the tender preparation for a new multi-bay AIS Substation on a greenfield site. This role requires providing electrical technical guidance, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, and managing interfaces with supply chain partners to ensure robust delivery solutions. The position is hybrid, requiring two days in the office and the remainder from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support tender preparation for a new multi-bay AIS Substation on a greenfield site.
- Review project requirements and provide electrical technical guidance and expertise.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary tender team to develop compelling tender proposals.
- Manage tender stage interfaces between key supply chain partners and designers.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop delivery methodologies for installation and commissioning of substation electrical equipment.
Key Skills:
- Experience in electrical engineering or project management.
- Strong understanding of substation projects and electrical standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.

- Required to support a Tender Preparation for a new multi-bay AIS Substation on a greenfield site.
- Review project requirements and provide electrical technical guidance and expertise in regard to delivering the above substation project for the client.
- Working with a multi disciplined tender team (eg civil engineers, estimators, planners, proposals writers and others) to develop tender proposals which present a compelling offer through demonstration of a high degree of capability, competency and understanding.
- Manage tender stage interfaces between key supply chain partners, (OEM's) and designers to develop a coordinated and robust delivery solutions.
- Support the identification of project risks and the development of mitigation strategies to address them.
- Develop delivery methodologies for the installation and commissioning of substation electrical equipment in accordance with the specified standards.
- Full UK driving licence
- Would suit an Electrical Engineer, an M& Engineer, Project Engineer or Project Manager
- This is a hybrid role and will be 2 days in the office and the rest from home.
