Summary: An experienced Project Manager is sought for a contract role overseeing the development of a greenfield food manufacturing facility in Sheffield. The position involves managing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering progress reports to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capital projects within the food manufacturing sector. This role requires hands-on leadership and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full project lifecycle management, from initial groundworks to commissioning and handover
- Oversee civil engineering elements, ensuring safety, quality, and timelines are met
- Manage all subcontractors and third-party suppliers on-site
- Ensure HSE compliance across the project, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver regular progress reports and updates to the senior leadership team
- Drive performance to ensure key milestones and audits are achieved on time
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing complex capital projects in food manufacturing or similar environments
- Solid understanding of manufacturing fit-out
- Strong grasp of Health & Safety, compliance, and audit frameworks (ideally within a regulated industry)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to lead multiple trades and contractors on a fast-paced build

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to take the reins on a greenfield food manufacturing site development in Sheffield.
We're working with a rapidly expanding food manufacturer who are investing heavily in a brand-new production facility. They require a hands-on and highly organised Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of this site - from the ground up.
