Summary: The role of Project Manager - CMA Regulatory Response is a part-time position requiring an experienced individual to lead the response to Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) information requests. This high-impact role involves coordinating complex inputs across multiple functions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders and manage submissions within strict deadlines. Flexibility is required, as the role entails 4 to 5 days of work per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a detailed workstream plan (timelines, owners, risks, dependencies)
- Drive delivery aligned to the statutory deadline
- Establish a central document repository and version control framework
- Review formal CMA Notices and map requirements to internal owners
- Track progress across all requests, proactively chasing and escalating where needed
- Support teams by clarifying requirements and interpreting regulatory expectations
- Ensure responses are delivered on time, with appropriate review cycles
- Ensure all submissions are accurate, fully evidenced, consistent, and signed off by relevant leadership
- Maintain robust governance, including audit trails of sources and approvals
- Prepare briefing papers and meeting packs for CMA engagement
- Produce executive and Board-level updates
- Provide regular progress reporting to senior sponsors
