Role: Project Manager

Location: Halifax, 2 days per week on site required, non negotiable

Duration: Until December 2025

Rate: £550.00 via umbrella

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager with a solid background in the banking or financial services sector, who can lead and coordinate complex projects across multiple stakeholders. This is a critical role requiring exceptional stakeholder engagement, change management, and project delivery skills within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across regulatory, technology, operational or change programmes within the banking environment.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and met.
• Manage project plans, resources, budgets and risks across concurrent workstreams.
• Champion effective change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or systems.
• Act as the key point of contact between business units, technology teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure strong governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks while ensuring alignment with regulatory or compliance requirements.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the banking or financial services industry (essential).
• Strong track record managing stakeholders at all levels , including senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex change initiatives , business transformation or regulatory programmes.
• Excellent communication, coordination and influencing skills.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.

Desirable:

• Relevant qualifications such as Prince2, PMP, or Agile certifications.
• Experience in areas such as regulatory change, risk and compliance, trading platforms, digital transformation, or operations.
