Summary: The Project Manager - Asset Intelligence & Innovation role involves overseeing projects related to water infrastructure and innovation for a large consultancy. This position is a 6-month contract inside IR35, requiring a mix of on-site and remote work in Coventry. The ideal candidate should possess strong Agile methodology experience and a background in delivering both digital and physical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Organise, prioritise, and refine product and sprint backlogs.
  • Assist in effort estimation and realistic sprint planning using Agile metrics.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to emerging project challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, regulators, customers, and contractors.
  • Work with innovation, design, and operations teams to deliver solutions.
  • Create clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for project updates.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in Agile Methodology, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience in backlog management and sprint facilitation.

Project Manager - Asset Intelligence & Innovation

My client, a large consultancy, is in need of a Project Manager - Asset Intelligence & Innovation for a 6 month contract opportunity inside IR35 based in Coventry offering 2 days per week remote but requiring 3 days per week on-site.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in:-

  • Agile Methodology - Understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile principles (eg, iterative delivery, backlog refinement) along with how to practically deliver these frameworks
  • Sprint Facilitation - Ability to support sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews
  • Backlog Management - Skilled in organising, prioritising, and refining product and sprint backlogs
  • Estimation & Planning - Supporting effort estimation and realistic sprint planning using Agile metrics
  • Infrastructure Knowledge - A Strong understanding of clean water and wastewater systems
  • Sustainability & Innovation - Ability to understand emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, digital twins and computer vision
  • Risk & Compliance Management - Ability to identify and mitigate risks related to emerging projects challenges
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Communicating effectively with engineers, regulators, customers, and contractors
