Summary: The AI Project Manager role involves supporting the launch of an AI First Programme for a leading organization, focusing on identifying and realizing operational value opportunities through AI technologies. The position requires managing the day-to-day delivery of a 12-week discovery and design programme while ensuring effective governance and stakeholder engagement. The role is based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement of three days onsite and two days remote. The contract is initially for three months and falls inside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the day-to-day delivery of the 12-week discovery and design programme, ensuring activities stay on track.
  • Maintaining programme governance artefacts, including plans, RAID logs, dependency trackers, and milestones.
  • Coordinating meetings, stand-ups, and governance forums, capturing notes, tracking actions, and following up on outcomes.
  • Assisting with the two-week sprint cadence, monitoring progress, data requests, and upcoming deliverables.
  • Preparing status updates, milestone summaries, and materials for senior stakeholder reports.
  • Contributing to the assessment of business readiness for AI adoption, covering data, architecture, governance, and workforce implications.
  • Supporting the delivery of evidence-backed outputs such as prioritised initiatives, value cases, and transformation roadmaps.

  • Proven experience in managing complex AI or digital transformation projects.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams.
