Summary: The role of Project Manager at Bede involves managing complex projects on a 6-month fixed-term contract, ensuring successful delivery for global clients. The position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate clients across CET time zones and entails a hybrid working arrangement with two days in the Newcastle-upon-Tyne office. The Project Manager will oversee project lifecycles, maintain communication with stakeholders, and implement governance standards within the PMO. This position offers an opportunity to drive impactful change and contribute fresh ideas to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects end to end, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery.
- Maintain project plans, milestones, and deliverables actively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding task coordination for successful development delivery.
- Monitor and report on project status, communicating clearly with key stakeholders.
- Manage risks effectively, including reporting and following escalation paths.
- Work with PMO leadership to define and implement governance standards across the portfolio.
- Plan, monitor, and track cross-functional and complex business initiatives from requirements scoping to post-go-live support.
- Coordinate and conduct post-implementation retrospectives, identifying lessons learned.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the role.
Key Skills:
- Proven track record in a software development environment managing projects through the entire lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adaptable to project needs.
- Comfortable working flexible hours to accommodate client schedules in CET.
- Experience managing complex projects and challenging stakeholders with clear communication.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with proactive issue anticipation.
- Excellent communication and people skills for effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, MS365, and Google Suite.
- Highly organized and self-sufficient, capable of driving progress with minimal supervision.
- Experience in Lean and Kanban principles is advantageous; SCRUM qualifications are desirable.
