As part of Velociti Group, a leading software and specialist consultancy provider to the transport sector, our highly successful teams provide cutting-edge digital solutions to improve the operational and commercial performance of our customers.We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team on a 12 month fixed term basis. The role is full time working 37.5 hours per week working on a hybrid basis with time split between office and home working. Our offices are based in Sheffield and Bromsgrove (Worcestershire) and are happy for teams to work from which ever location is easiest. We are open to discussions regarding salary, dependent on previous experience.As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various software development and implementation projects.You will be methodical and have excellent time management skills and you should also use your communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams. You should be able to manage and deliver our projects within quality, time, and budget requirements.Role And ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders and manage the implementation of our software solutions, acting as a point of contact for projectsFollow our project management methodology to ensure that projects remain on track, issues are resolved, budgets are managed, and reporting is accurateSeek opportunities for improving our project delivery processesEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsTake a flexible approach to requests to perform tasks as directedDevelopment of detailed project plans using appropriate systems, tools, and techniquesDefine resource requirements, ensuring resource availability, budget, lead-timesKeep an up to date risk and issue log. Ensure all risks and issues are effectively mitigated and communicated to the client and relevant internal teamsCommunicate with internal and external teams to delegate tasks and address client queries in a timely mannerProvide client, management and other stakeholders with regular project progress reports and ensure milestones are delivered to the agreed scheduleMeasure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniquesUse appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationReport and escalate to management as neededEnsure client sign off-of all milestone stages and final hand overRequirementsMeet with internal stakeholders and clients to identify project requirements and delivery timelines Manage a resource pool of developers, designers and testers to ensure software deliverables are metHave experience working in waterfall and agile methodologiesDevelop detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and the ability to revise them based on changing needs and requirementsIdentify and assign project resources based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of staff membersMonitor project performance to ensure timely deliveryProduce and submit project status reports to clients, management and other stakeholdersWork effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementationDevelop excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholdersManage stakeholder relationships in a challenging environment Ability to be flexible and adapt plans and priorities Benefits25 days holiday plus bank holidaysExtra days leave for BirthdayCompany PensionIncome ProtectionLife AssurancePrivate Health CareCycle to work
