Summary: The role of Project Management Officer at FDM involves supporting the project management office within the finance sector on a hybrid basis in Sheffield. The position requires a motivated individual to coordinate project activities, track progress, and ensure effective execution of projects. This is an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension, focusing on collaboration with stakeholders and maintaining project documentation. Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of PMO experience and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support programme directors in presenting project funding requests to the Exec Board for approval.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Coordinate closely with project managers and programme managers for RAID management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business in a highly visible role.
- Monitor and track project progress, including milestones, risks, and issues.
- Maintain and update project management tools and systems.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management.
- Support the collection and reporting of project performance metrics.
Key Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years PMO experience.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous activity management.
- Good understanding and use of MS Office (Excel) and other automation tools.
- Banking experience is ideal but not essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
