Summary: The role of Project Management Officer at FDM involves supporting the project management office within the finance sector, focusing on coordinating project activities and ensuring effective execution. This position is initially a 6-month contract with potential for extension and is based in Sheffield, requiring a motivated individual with at least 3 years of PMO experience. The PMO will work closely with programme directors and project managers to track progress and maintain project documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Support programme directors in presenting project funding requests to the Exec Board.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Coordinate closely with project managers and programme managers for RAID management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
- Monitor and track project progress, including milestones, risks, and issues.
- Maintain and update project management tools and systems.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management.
- Support the collection and reporting of project performance metrics.
Key Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years PMO experience.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Good understanding and use of MS Office (Excel) and other automation tools.
- Banking experience is ideal but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills.
