Summary: The Project Management Officer role is a 6-month contract position based in Oxford, focusing on maintaining project schedules and ensuring alignment among teams. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with complex scheduling tools. The officer will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager to meet key milestones and deliverables. This role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the project schedule, ensuring key deliverables hit deadlines
- Coordinate project meetings, track progress, and capture lessons learned
- Monitor risks and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies
- Communicate updates to stakeholders clearly and consistently
- Support project delivery teams with planning, reporting, and scheduling
Key Skills:
- Experience with complex scheduling tools – Primavera P6 preferred
- Strong project coordination and communication skills
- Track record of working across multi-disciplinary teams
- Solid understanding of project controls and risk management
- Knowledge of regulations such as Part 145, Part 21, and Part CAMO, or equivalent experience with the UK MoD Military Airworthiness Authority Regulatory Articles
- SAP experience
- Background in aerospace or defence
- Knowledge of ITAR or Export Control
- Bid or capture management experience
