Senior Portfolio Management Officer – Coventry – 6 Month Contract - £500 to £575/day

Lorien's Banking client are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Portfolio Management Officer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you will play a crucial role in facilitating and supporting multiple delivery disciplines within the company's integration-focused portfolio.

As the Senior Portfolio Management Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing risks, dependencies, value, finances, and resources, ensuring adherence to best practices. This hands-on role will require you to work closely with PMO and Integration Management Office colleagues, as well as the wider delivery community, to support effective change delivery.

You will be expected to maintain alignment between strategy and execution, while also supporting continued operational excellence. This includes ensuring adherence to minimum data standards, following the centralised Delivery Framework, and optimising the use of delivery tools such as Jira and Deal Control.

To be successful in this role, it’s essential that:

  • You’ll have strong planning skills, and experience updating, collating and reporting on delivery plans for multiple workstreams
  • You’ll have programme management skills including extensive knowledge of managing risks, dependencies, issues and assumptions.
  • Experience with planning and coordinating events, such as interactive workshops, leading on knowledge sharing, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
  • You will be excellent at written and verbal communication, with experience interacting at Executive level and strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • You’ll be able to explain complex information in a simple way, have keen attention to detail, and the desire to drive quality outputs while upholding standards.
  • You’ll be a forward-looking self-starter, able to anticipate and prevent issues, and highly personally resilient, comfortable working in a high-profile, demanding and busy delivery environment.
