Summary: The Project Management Officer will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within the organization. This role involves working closely with project leaders, promoting best practices in project management, and ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management. The position is contract-based until the end of the year, requiring strong project management expertise and the ability to adapt to various project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring projects are supported with strong Project Management expertise and appropriate governance practices.
  • Working with manufacturing project leaders on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coaching and providing awareness sessions on best practice project management.
  • Shaping methods and tools in accordance with PM standards to meet project needs.
  • Supporting efficient communication and stakeholder management.
  • Promoting Agile WoW and acting as Scrum Master when needed.
  • Establishing E2E project plans and controlling changes versus the initial baseline.
  • Identifying Earned Value Management (EVM) milestones and project critical paths.
  • Tracking performance versus plan throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing clear and regular reporting throughout all project phases.
  • Driving the Risk & Opportunity Management process.
  • Owning the R&O register and providing updates to the Project Leader.
  • Working with Finance to compare costs incurred and time spent against planning.
  • Preparing and publishing reports as required.
  • Defining and delivering relevant KPIs & dashboards for performance management.
  • Contributing to team reviews and supporting project management reviews.

Key Skills:

  • 3 years+ experience as a PMO.
  • Able to support a project leader.
  • Dynamic, IT savvy, and adaptable.
  • Understanding of tools and governance.
  • Ability to advise project leaders on upcoming risks and mitigations.

Salary (Rate): £37.02
