Summary: The role of Project Leader at a leading aerospace manufacturer involves overseeing the repurposing of a major production facility for Single Aisle programmes. The position requires strong project management skills, particularly in change management and site enablement, to drive innovation and efficiency. The successful candidate will lead enablement teams and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a 12-month contract position based on-site in Wales, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enablement for Rate++ by embedding new ways of working and best practices
- Develop governance frameworks and drive tooling/technology improvements to support sustainability and efficiency
- Provide leadership to Enablement Teams, ensuring delivery to cost, quality, and timescales
- Manage tool control, LOLER compliance, and FOD projects
- Ensure EHS and Airworthiness standards while driving SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) improvements
Key Skills:
- Proven background in Project/Programme Management within aviation, production, or manufacturing
- Experience supporting the repurposing of the A380 factory over to single-aisle production
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
