Summary: The Project Lead/Manager will oversee the procurement and implementation of audit and risk software, ensuring effective project planning and milestone management. This role involves stakeholder communication, reporting on audit actions, and migrating processes to new software. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to project management and engage with internal audit/risk stakeholders throughout the audit cycle. The position is hybrid and requires working with an umbrella company due to its inside IR35 status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the procurement and implementation of audit and risk software, managing implementation plans.
- Manage and report on actions with monthly and quarterly reporting timelines.
- Communicate with stakeholders on audit actions throughout the audit cycle, including briefings with Executive sponsors.
- Project manage procurement and implementation of new audit and risk software requirements.
- Manage and implement the current audit action process.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for Executive Directors and ARAC members.
- Support IA teams on action tracking to conclusion.
- Process and close actions as instructed by Senior Auditors or Managers.
- Migrate from a manual to an automated action tracking process.
Key Skills:
- Sound approach to project management and reporting.
- Flexible and agile, responsive to urgent management requests.
- Proactive and engaged with internal audit/risk stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with senior management.
- Experience in audit/risk across all stages of the audit/risk life cycle.
- Experience in project managing audit or risk software implementation is desirable.
- Knowledge of the financial sector and regulatory context is helpful but not essential.
