Summary: The Project Environment Manager will oversee environmental aspects of the Eastern Green Link 2 project, a significant HVDC subsea transmission initiative in the UK. This role involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, managing environmental documentation, and leading a team to address environmental issues throughout the project's lifecycle. The position is based in Peterhead, Scotland, and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead environmental aspects of project delivery, including chairing environmental meetings.
• Interface with the Employer’s Environmental Team and review environmental documentation.
• Provide guidance on environmental controls and laws to the project team.
• Investigate environmental incidents and manage incident reporting.
• Manage environmental staff and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Monitor and maintain the Project CEMP and report on environmental KPIs.
• Conduct site environmental inspections and audits.
• Develop relationships with local stakeholders and environmental regulators.
• Deliver training activities and maintain environmental databases.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in developing and delivering environmental management systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and civil engineering industry.
• Experience in training and mentoring environmental staff.
• Degree in Environmental Management or equivalent technical qualification.
• Chartered Environmentalist (Full IEMA) status or equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication skills and understanding of digital construction.
