Summary: The Project Engineering Manager role is an 18-month contract focused on leading projects in the nuclear sector, particularly during the design phase. The position involves managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and ensuring effective project delivery while working in a hybrid environment between the Sellafield site in Cumbria and home. Candidates must have significant project management experience and hold the necessary security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects focusing on the design phase.
  • Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver FEED and Detailed Engineering Packages.
  • Work with subcontractors to ensure project delivery across all disciplines.
  • Ensure integration of disciplines, with a Responsible Engineer assigned to each, depending on project size and complexity.
  • Oversee projects including new buildings, demolition, decommissioning, CE&I, and mechanical installations.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience within the nuclear sector.
  • Previous experience managing teams during FEED and EPC stages.
  • Must hold security clearance at a minimum level of SC with the ability to advance to DV.
  • British national with legal right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
