Summary: The role of a Technical Project Engineer involves overseeing the successful delivery and maintenance of telecoms networks across Scotland. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain technical documentation and ensure customer networks are documented as part of project handovers
- Install, configure, fault find, report and maintain Routers, Switches and Firewalls
- Completion of site surveys to enable installation
- Rack, charger and telecoms equipment installation and commissioning to an excellent standard
- Create Health and Safety documentation such as RAMS, POWRA to ensure H&S measures are adhered to.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system environments.
- Strong background in IP Networking, including CCNA-level knowledge, WAN, LAN, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience with Nokia platforms, including Nokia SAR-H and Nokia NFM-P.
- Excellent understanding of routing, switching, and data networking principles.
- Experience working with XTran technology.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Visio for network and technical diagramming.

As a technical Project Engineer you will be part of a team who are responsible for the successful delivery of various projects and the maintenance of telecoms network across Scotland.
The role involves the strategic planning and delivery of installation and commissioning projects. Working alongside the field, project and network operation teams you will also provide technical representation at customer meetings, assist with critical faults and complete end of job documentation to an excellent standard.
Role requires travel across Scotland so you will require a full driving license and may have to work away from home occasionally.
Your role will be to support the project and senior project managers aligned to the account with scoping, preparing, planning, implementing and delivering technical projects of varying scale, complexities and technologies.
