The Role
As Project Engineer, you will support the engineering delivery of the project, working closely with the Senior Engineer, Project Manager, Site Managers, subcontractors and design team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting out structural, RC, groundworks and associated works
- Checking construction drawings and specifications
- Carrying out surveys and producing as-built information
- Checking levels, dimensions and tolerances
- Coordinating subcontractor works
- Raising RFIs and technical queries with the design team
- Carrying out QA inspections and pre-pour checks
- Supporting ITPs and quality documentation
- Monitoring works against drawings and specification
- Assisting with technical coordination and design development
- Supporting material take-offs and technical procurement
- Identifying technical issues and assisting with practical solutions
- Working closely with the site team to ensure works are delivered safely, correctly and to programme
About You
I am looking for a Project Engineer with experience working on building, structural, RC, groundworks or refurbishment projects.
Ideally, you will have:
Relevant Civil Engineering or Construction qualification
Previous UK construction experience
Strong setting-out and surveying experience
Good understanding of construction drawings
Experience with subcontractor coordination
Knowledge of QA, ITPs, RFIs and as-built requirements
AutoCAD experience
Experience with Leica total stations or similar surveying equipment
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive approach to solving technical problems
