Project Engineer

Summary: The Project Engineer is responsible for executing capital and maintenance projects across all phases, including feasibility, engineering, design, and construction oversight. This role requires extensive experience in the chemical, refining, and oil and gas industries, with a focus on managing multiple projects simultaneously. The position demands strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to diverse management environments while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The engineer will also be required to travel to various facilities in Texas, Louisiana, and California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute capital and maintenance projects, including feasibility, scoping, engineering & design, RFQs, bidding, cost estimating and control, reporting, installation, and construction planning.
• Manage all project phases and disciplines, ensuring coordination and approvals within a large company structure.
• Oversee project control functions, including cost estimates, monitoring, scheduling, and reporting.
• Interface and coordinate with various departments and staff at all levels.
• Adapt to diverse management environments and processes while maintaining effective communication.
• Travel to facilities in Texas, Louisiana, and California as required.

Key Skills:

• 15+ years of experience in chemical, refining, or oil and gas industries.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a project manager.
• Proven ability in engineering & design, procurement, estimating, scheduling, finance, construction, and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction.
• Multi-discipline engineering and technical skills, with emphasis on electrical, HSE, Process Safety Systems, and Instrumentation systems.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, and PIP.
