Project Engineer

Summary: The Project Engineer will oversee the coordination of engineering activities for the Grimsby to Walpole upgrade project. This role involves managing design integration, site investigations, and contractor performance while ensuring compliance with safety and technical requirements. The Project Engineer will also facilitate communication between various internal teams and manage programme delivery and risk resolution. A strong civil engineering background and experience in project delivery are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead coordination of design integration, ground and site investigation activities, and land access and permitting.
• Oversee contractor performance and delivery across multiple work fronts.
• Manage programme delivery, risk and issue resolution, and technical coordination across disciplines.
• Interface with internal teams including design, commercial, and land teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and programme requirements.

Key Skills:

• Strong civil engineering background (degree qualified preferred).
• Experience in utilities, power, transmission, pipelines, and rail infrastructure.
• Proven track record in project delivery and coordination (not just site engineering).
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
