The Role
A client in the renewable energy and industrial decarbonisation sector is seeking a Project Engineer to join the team for a 2-week technical due diligence engagement.
You will lead the technical review of a large-scale e-methanol project currently in the FEED phase, assessing project maturity, engineering quality and overall readiness for execution.
Reporting into the Project Manager and working closely with the wider due diligence team, you will identify key technical risks and provide independent insight to support an investor-led assessment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical review of a large-scale e-methanol project and assess the quality of FEED engineering deliverables.
- Identify technical, engineering and execution-related red flags that could impact project delivery and performance.
- Review process engineering design assumptions, methodologies, project execution plans and risk management approaches.
- Prepare concise findings and recommendations for investors and senior stakeholders, contributing to the overall due diligence assessment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience on large-scale energy, chemicals, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol or related industrial projects.
- Strong process engineering background with experience reviewing complex engineering designs and FEED-stage developments.
- Proven track record as a Project Engineer, Lead Engineer or Technical Project Manager on major capital projects.
- Experience conducting technical due diligence, owner's engineering reviews or independent project assessments, with the ability to rapidly identify technical risks and assess project maturity.
