Summary: The Project Engineer (Decommissioning) role involves providing comprehensive support to the Project Delivery Team throughout various phases, including planning, execution, and data gathering. The primary focus is to ensure project activities align with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards while meeting budget and schedule goals. The position requires collaboration with project leads and contractors to manage work scopes and facilitate regulatory approvals. Additionally, the role emphasizes risk management and effective project reporting to enhance overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure activities follow relevant Company requirements, industry standards, UK laws/regulations, and that involved work processes are being executed accordingly.
  • Support the project leads, senior engineers and technical leads with cost estimating, annual budgeting, risk management, overall project planning & milestones, scenario planning, management of change and effective evaluate phase(s) so learnings can be taken forward.
  • Support the project team by assisting with management of work scopes and liaising with contractors to resolve project specific tasks and challenges.
  • Work with the project and Information Management (IM) teams to ensure the quality and completeness of knowledge & project content is maintained during the course of the project in accordance with IM procedures.
  • Work with the project and client functions to support the required regulatory approvals and interfaces for the project.
  • Actively and consistently contribute to risk (threat and opportunity) management throughout all project phases.
  • Works with the project team & client functions to support relationship management for the project, for example: Joint Venture, regulatory and contractor relations.
  • Contributes to effective and value-adding project reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Must be able to manage multiple work fronts and multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of subsea projects including installation and decommissioning.
